Who We Are
LSAA, Inc. is a nonprofit, volunteer organization whose mission is to promote and encourage the development of visual arts and artists in the Marquette County area through programs and services directed toward appreciation and participation in the visual arts. Membership consists of professional and semiprofessional artists, amateur artists and friends of the arts. Annual dues are $15.00, $10.00 for seniors and students, $25.00 for familes or businesses. Members are kept up to date by receiving the newsletter, The KIOSK, three times a year.

Each March, members and the public are offered the opportunity to view a slide show featuring the works from the Transparent Watercolor Society of America's annual exhibition. The presentation, accompanied by commentary of a local artist who has signature status in the national organization, has proven to be popular to painters and appreciators alike.

Gallery Shows
LSAA sponsors six month long art exhibits a year in cooperation with the City of Marquette's Art and Culture Center,  Located in the lower level of the Peter White Library, this gallery showcases the talents of LSAA members as well as artists from the local area and around the country. Works in the gallery range from very traditional to extremely innovative, and provide an opportunity for community members to view a variety of quality exhibits. A public reception is held for each show, allowing the opportunity to meet each artist.
