This is a juried show requiring submission of (3) examples of your current work and signed application along with payment.
Artwork must be original in design and executed by the accepted artist. Each artist must accompany their own work for the entire 2 days of the show. Artists may display and sell only in the category in which their work has been accepted. No commercial dealers, agents, kits, crafts, or castings from commercial molds allowed. Only artists accepted in the jewelry category may display and sell jewelry. Art on the Rocks committee members will visit booths periodically throughout the show. Artists violating rules of the show will be required to remove all work not in compliance or be asked to leave (no refunds). Artists violating rules or "No-Shows" (non notification), or early breakdowns are denied following year's entrance. The Art on the Rocks committee reserves the right to make final interpretation of all rules.
ENTRY FEE
Show fee - $210.00
Send 2 checks: #1 for $210.00
#2 non-refundable jury fee, $30.00 per category.
NO REFUNDS after acceptance. $210.00 returned if not accepted.
NO WAITING LIST.
Send either 3 slides or a CD with 3 examples of your work. Deficiencies in images will put your work at a disadvantage in the jury score. Artists are advised to submit professional quality images. Images may also be attached to your registration form and sent to printing@globeprinting.net attn: art on the rocks. Please keep in mind that your images are viewed simultaneously and you may specify the order in which they appear.
Image Tips:
- Clear, sharply focused images are best.
- Represent a coherent body of work, by form, technique or concept in the three images.
- Show the work fully.
- Do not show the frames in the case of flat art.
- One piece of work per image
- Bold color is viewed better than pastels, whites, grays or blacks.
- Well-lit, even exposure in all images is crucial
- Images should not be digitally altered except to correct contrast or adjust brightness.
- High resolution jpeg files are best.
- Don't let the background overpower or take away from your work.
Submit three recent examples per category of your work. Jury process examples must be representative of work which will be present at show. Print your name on front of each slide or CD and indicate "TOP." Examples must be of good quality and packaged to prevent mail damage. (Deficiencies in quality can negatively affect your jury score.) Slides or CD's will be available on Sunday of the show.
Artists are responsible for 6% Michigan sales tax. No commissions are taken.
Cash prizes totaling $3,500 will be awarded. Artists must be set up by 9:00 a.m. Saturday, when judging begins. Award winners are invited the following year.

Accepted artists, addresses, phone numbers and their products are listed on our show programs, but not on the accepted artist section of the web site. For the security of our artists, only their names, web site addresses and business name if included, city and state will be listed. It is important to be clear on your art category for the program listing and for show judging. Please check the appropriate category box, and briefly describe your art on your mail-in portion.
